Milestone manages equipment for the Kankakee Beaverville, and Southern Railroad Intermodal trailer fleet. The KBS fleet of over 3,700 trailers operates throughout North America and is the third largest piggyback pool in the North America. Customers include: Class 1 Railroads, Third Party Shippers, Intermodal Marketing Companies, Private Shippers, Steamship Operators, Barge Operators and Roll-On/Roll-Off Shipping Lines. The KBS per diem trailer pool allows these various companies to maximize equipment utilization and transportation efficiency without the burden of owning equipment.

Milestone also owns and manages for investors an additional fleet of over 2,000 intermodal containers and chassis,and trailers that combined with KBS have an original equipment cost of $80 Million.
Milestone owns and manages over 1,000 dry freight highway trailers for its own account and third party investors. Through its network of operating partners, Milestone Trailer Leasing LLC has a field organization in 6 major U.S. metropolitan areas to effectively manage and lease highway trailers, cartage trailers and storage trailers.

Milestone has a dedicated team of professionals managing our Chicago-based operations center. The Chicago operation utilizes a windows-based IT system that is highly reliable and scalable to provide asset-tracking, maintenance and utilization management, and comprehensive investor financial reporting. In addition, this highly experienced group has the resources needed to store, maintain, refurbish, purchase and sell Highway and Intermodal trailer equipment.
